{All things big & small, the Lord God (& Sarah) love them all!}
{...great things come in small packages...}
Welcome to Priceless Paradise Farm...We are a small family farm in Rockford, Tennessee. We acquired this little piece of land in 2008, and are still discovering it's possibilities. It seems every day holds a new adventure. My philosophy: Every day is a new beginning...End each day with no regrets! So Laugh Loud, Play Hard, & Learn Something New Today!
As part of our adventures, we are privileged to own horses, miniature donkeys, Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, pot belly pigs, rabbits, a barn cat, and dogs. Some days it feels like our work is never done, but then God gently reminds you of the beauty and wonder of life on the farm, and you remember what brought you here in the first place.
Just last year (2009), I was woke by my cousin at 6 am, and ask if the farm was taking any new animals. On her way to work, she was chased down (as were several other cars), by a tiny little Miniature Schnauzer pup. Being the dog lover she is, she was kind enough to stop and pick her up before she became road kill. I gladly took her in, and my cousin had "visitation" for awhile, but by the time she decided she couldn't keep her, and we couldn't find her owners, the Price family had fallen in love with her! We added her (Heidi) to our Basset Hound, Miniature Dachshunds, & Chihuahua, and so came the love for Miniature Schnauzers.
As my uncle was in need of a hobby, and took over the care of the breeding Miniature Dachshunds, I began to ponder over the idea of having a "family" of Schnauzers, that I could breed, and share the love we have developed for this dog. Schnauzers were originally bred for farms as mice catchers (I'm sure our barn cat is happy our guys stay in the house...LOL), and are very gentle, intelligent dogs. Schnauzers do not shed, which makes them a wonderful house pet. Be careful though, as I understand, they are much like potato chips, you can't have just one! Many people will buy one, fall in love as we have, and need at least one more! Is that really so bad though?
I have discovered a wonderful mentor, Nancy Kirby of Rogersville, TN, and am just developing my "family" of Schnauzers. We are pleased to have acquired "Tia" from Misty Husky in Knoxville, who is of breeding age, and are adding one of Tia's pups, as well as two pups from Nancy to our "family". These dogs live in our home, are well fed, receive proper vet care, exercise, groomed every 6-8 weeks, and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Therefore, their pups will be handled daily, well cared for, and socialized. Pups will go to their new homes no sooner than 6-8 weeks of age. Pups will go to their new homes with their first shots, wormer, tail docked, and dew claws removed. Ears will be natural, we DO NOT offer ear cropping. They will be working on crate training/potty training, and come home with their registration (unless limited), shot/wormer record, a toy, and sample of food. They will have been groomed twice before they leave, to help them become accustomed to this process. Please check our deposit policy, shipping limitations, and health guarantee prior to placing a deposit or purchasing one of our puppies. We want this experience to be as rewarding for you and your new pup, as it was for us & ours. We are simply a small farm with a big heart, and the desire to share some of what it has meant to us with others.
We may not have it all together...but together we have it all!
